'NEEND K AMEER'

GENRE MEDICINE's  3rd post NEEND K AMEER is about types of sleep...there are two types of sleep...one is Slow wave sleep and the other one Rapid eye movement sleep...the first one is called  dreamless or deep  sleep and the other one the REM sleep is highly associated with active dreaming and in this type the brain is highly active and the brain's  overall metabolism may be increased as much as 20 percent. The REM  or rapid eye movement sleep is also called paradoxical sleep because it is a paradox that a person can still be asleep despite marked activity in the brain.Sleep in general is very important for the proper functioning of the brain and for the vital activity of thought processes...so sleeping adequately is very important ...people who undergo prolonged forced wakefulness do suffer from sluggishness of thought and become irritable or even psychotic after forced wakefulness...
This post is specially dedicated to all who love to sleep a lot ,to those who sleep with open eyes in the lecture hall ,to those who believe in their dreams and  chase them...and to those who see this world or life from a different angle and most of the people fail to see the way they do and call them idiot or brainless....

I have explained both the types in  a rhyming fashion ..hope you guys would like it...so here's some neurophysiology your way...

                                ' NEEND K AMEER'

Specially dedicated to all who are genuinely and originally 'neend k ameer'
Precisely and exactly speaking there are two types of sleep.

First one impeccably labelled as Slow Wave Sleep
And the second one with lucid dexterity Rapid Eye Movement or REM Sleep

Slow wave type is often dreamless ; occasionally it has dream views but never stored in memory center for recall use
REM sleep is the production house for unlimited vivid dreams ; the dreams of it are top favorites so memory center can't afford not to choose

Slow wave sleep is exceedingly restful and occurs during 1st hour of sleep when one's kept awake  for  so many hours a day
When people sleep after tiring hectic schedule all day;in Urdu language we simply call it 'sona ghorray  baych kay'

In it there are 10 to 30 percent decreases in blood pressure ,respiratory rate and basal metabolic rate
A person during deep or slow wave sleep can be aroused by sensory stimuli's external aid

In a normal night of sleep usually appear bouts  of REM sleep
Lasting 5 to 30 minutes on the average every 90 minutes of sleep

REM sleep is associated with active dreaming and irregular muscle movements
As its name indicates a person experiences rapid eye movements

During REM sleep heart and respiratory rate usually becomes irregular e.g when a teenager undergoes a nightmare about failing an exam
Opens up eyes in trepidation and thanks God for saving from 'amma abba kee daant'  super advance

Well talking about dreams inshALLAH one day research and exploration in the Muslim world would be once again common and  ' aam'
Like it was used to be a natural innate ability 10 centuries back in the Muslim 'awaam'

Dreams of  'khush'haal Pakistan' would convert into reality if every young adult or ' naujawaan'
Would work with super sincerity and pure devotion for the betterment of Pakistan

O ROSTAM AND SOHRAB'S MUSCLES OF UPPER LIMB

The second post of GENRE:MEDICINE is about the muscles of the  upper limb....also can be called as  MUSCLES of the ARM,FOREARM and HANDS in particular.Muscles are very important for the movements that we perform everyday...n especially the muscles of arm, forearm n hands are of great importance...

The main idea behind writing about them was  to create a general awareness amongst the non medical individuals about the muscles of upper limb.....making their anatomical and medical terminologies familiar to the non medical individuals ...or their naming in general....and also while performing certain actions or movements a non medical individual must have an idea that which muscle is used or employed...
I have discussed in a rhyming fashion  some of the very main muscles of the arm, forearm and hands because at this level it would be fruitless.to talk about all of the muscles of upper limb..it won't be understandable for them

I have added the names of rostam and sohrab  to the title.. because both of them were the heroes in the persian  mythology.....if u guys have came across the persian epic shahnameh....it would be very easy to understand why i have added them to the title of the post...all that i can say, they were the strong brave men...the father and the son...n muscles of upper limb's post needed the mentioning of some great, brave n muscular men i must say.....

The actions of some of the  very major n important muscles are written below ....their application in our daily lives....in an easier way n in a rhyming fashion...the muscles i have mentioned would be in the CAPITAL LETTERS....so here's some anatomy mixed with PAKISTANI CULTURE n daily life...hope u guys would appreciate the idea of it n would gain something useful out  of it...

'O ROSTAM AND SOHRAB'S MUSCLES OF UPPER LIMB'

O rostam and sohrab's muscles of upper limb
Your major and important muscles would be given a short glimpse

I'm LATISSIMUS DORSI involved in extension, adduction and medial rotation of the arm for which I'm specially assigned
While swimming the movements of swimmer's arms are majorly because of me everytime

In Pakistani 'luddi' folk dance SERRATUS ANTERIOR comes into play
When people raise their arms above their heads in a delightful and happiest way

SERRATUS ANTERIOR is also used in boxer's forward punch when the arm is pushed forward in the horizontal position
Have you ever seen Amir khan's victory providing final forward punch with great interest ,gravity and concentration

When Muslims flex their elbow joints during salat/namaz for 'Allah -hu-akbar' to say
A trio of BICEPS BRACHII, CORACHOBRACHIALIS and BRACHIALIS is perfectly employed this way

TRICEPS extends elbow joint;can observe its action when people stand straight respectfully for the national anthem with their forearm fully extended at both sides
Either our Pakistani cricket/hockey team utter the words 'pak sar zameen shadbad' or children standing in school's morning assembly lines

When a kid falls down from his bicycle and gets his elbow hurt
ANCONEUS muscle has suffered exactly  the site of the injury confirms

Remember the times when Saqlain Mushtaq used to bowl; also known as The Offspin Magician
Just because his Small Muscles of the Hand including 4 LUMBRICALS and 8 INTEROSSEI were in co-ordination so magnificent
